About KEDS

KEDS is the state's system for assisting early childhood programs in reporting children's progress towards meeting the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards and the Office of Special Education Program (OSEP) Child Outcomes, while using recommended practices for the authentic assessment of young children.

 How Does KEDS Work?

KEDS is designed to gather statewide data while allowing teachers and providersto focus on implementing high  quality assessments that provide feedback for the purposes of improving instruction and supporting positive outcomes for young children.

After assessment data is entered into KEDS, the system has been designed to sort the data in order to determine progress towards meeting both the Kentucky Standards and Benchmarks and the OSEP Early Childhood Outcomes.
